Spica – α Virginis

Stellar and bright M = .98. Two stars, not one, it has been learned.

The peak wavelength, (λ), was measured to be λ = 129 nm (above).

With Wien’s Displacement algorithm,

λ = b/T and b = 2.897771955×10−3 m⋅K.

This gives a black-body surface temperature of T ~ 20,000 K
