The Danish View

Now, for something completely different!  The Danish View provides an easy-to-read format of the latest operational data, as well as that product fit recorded as Danish Climate Data.  I personally like that measured approach.  The DMI even present their data with the error bar, two standard deviations.  Fantastic!

Screen Shot 2019-09-01 at 10.36.07 AMThe RED DOT is the last operational product for 31AUG19.  And the plot for 2019 appears to be on-course for a 2017-2018 fit for Sea-Ice minimum in September, 2019.

Screen Shot 2019-09-01 at 10.43.16 AMNote: As of this morning 01SEP19 , this NSIDC chart has NOT been updated from14AUG19, presenting a poor and incomplete record of Sea-Ice Extent.  Science plays out by friendly competition among scientists, as well as compromise.  Both these graphs represent the best that Danish-led  and American-led efforts could  provide.
