We have elected again, one of the most intelligent, compassionate and centered individuals I have ever met to be our representatives to the U.S. Congress (WA7th,D).  She is one of the 100 women now in the House of Representative, and sits on The House Judiciary and Budget Committees.  She came to fields questions on her stands and to receive new ideas from her constituents.  She wrote part of the #MedicareForAll bill and #GreenNewDeal legislation with other congresswomen.

During my brief meeting with her, she talked about her 22-year old daughter. “It seems like every day she asks me, “Mom, what did you do for the immigrant crisis today?  What are we doing about Global Warming and the Climate?”  It was then I learned she herself had emigrated to the U.S. as a 16 year old with little money.

She feel very honoured to represent People of the 7th District in Congress, which includes not only  the western part of Martin Luther King County, but the eastern suburbs upto the foothills of the Cascades.

At the Town Meeting, held at The First Baptist Church of Seattle on Capitol Hill, she was ask many questions by the folks there about universal health care, immigration law and policy and Climate Change…
