Simulation of LISA-type craft in orbit near Earth in 2035 CE

L1, L2, L3 are correctly characterized as “saddle point” or transition areas. L4 and L5 are better characterized as “ridge lines” that fall off from single point or “peak” similar to Mauna Loa on Hawai`i .  the single LISA Pathefinder was placed at L1, while future (e)LISA and LISA will have at least three (3) spacecraft separated by 2.5 million kilometers.

This short simulation of the solar system with  LISA-type spacecraft are an attempt to visualize the initial richness of the first two years during the launch-operation of the LISA mission at L1 (below).

We used a 10 core, 3 node parallel cluster of iMac minis communicating over Thunderbolt 2.  Here are second results putting one central LISA-type spacecraft at the L1 Earth-Sun Lagrange Point  where LISA Pathfinder was placed this past year.
